Introduction
UCC27511A is a compact gate driver offering a high-quality replacement for NPN and PNP discrete driver (buffer circuit) solutions. The UCC27511A is a single-channel, low-side, high-speed gate driver for MOSFETs, IGBTs, and emerging wide-bandgap power devices such as GaN. The device features short rise times, fall times, and propagation delays in the off state, making the UCC27511A well-suited for high-speed applications. Its asymmetric 4A peak source current and 8A peak sink current improve immunity to parasitic Miller turn-on effects. The split-output configuration enables independent adjustment of rise and fall times using just two resistors, eliminating the need for an external diode. Additional features including wide input hysteresis and negative input voltage handling further enhance transient noise immunity.

- Unused input pin can be used for enable/disable function
- Output held low when input pins are floating
- Maximum absolute voltage level on input pins is not limited by VDD pin bias supply voltage
