Introduction
The LMH1226 is a low-power, dual-output 12G UHD clock recovery device. It supports SMPTE video rates up to 11.88Gbps and 10GbE IP-based video transport, enabling 4K/8K UHD applications through to RTN. The adaptive cable trace equalizer on IN1 is SFF-8431 compatible and supports both SMPTE and 10GbE data rates. The clock recovery device attenuates high-frequency jitter and delivers excellent signal integrity. Its high input jitter tolerance improves timing margin. The device integrates an on-chip loop filter and operates without a precision input reference clock. A non-intrusive eye monitor supports real-time serial data measurement, simplifying system debug and accelerating board bring-up. With an integrated 1:2 fanout, the device provides flexible multi-output video signal distribution. The output driver offers programmable de-emphasis to compensate for board trace losses at the output. The LMH1226 has a typical power consumption of 214mW, which further reduces to 16mW in the absence of an input signal. The LMH1226 is pin-compatible with the LMH1219, a 12G UHD cable equalizer with integrated clock recovery.
