DS125BR401A is an ultra-low power, high-performance repeater/redriver designed to support four channels carrying high-speed interfaces at rates up to 12Gbps. The B-side receiver's continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) provides up to +24dB of high-frequency boost at 6GHz (12Gbps) and is capable of opening a fully closed input eye diagram resulting from ISI caused by interconnect media such as backplane traces or copper coaxial cables. Programmable equalization enables maximum flexibility in physical layout within the interconnect channel. The A-side channel features a 10dB linear equalizer and linear output driver. The A-side channel has a 3–10dB variable linear equalizer paired with a linear output driver. When operating in SAS-3 and PCIe GEN-3 applications, the DS125BR401A preserves transmit signal characteristics, enabling host controllers and endpoints to negotiate transmitter equalizer coefficients. This transparent management of the link negotiation protocol facilitates system-level interoperability and minimum latency.
