TMUX1574 is a CMOS switch offering a 4-channel 2:1 SPDT switch configuration. The wide operating supply voltage range of 1.5V to 5.5V makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, from servers and communications equipment to industrial applications. The device supports bidirectional analog and digital signals on the source (SxA, SxB) and drain (Dx) pins, and can pass signals above the supply (up to VDD×2), with a maximum I/O voltage of 5.5V. The TMUX1574 features up to 3.6V off-state protection on the signal path, providing isolation when the supply voltage is removed (VDD = 0V). Without this protection, the switch could back-power the supply rail through internal ESD diodes, potentially damaging the system. Fault-protection logic circuitry allows voltage to be applied to the logic control pins before the supply pins, protecting the device from potential damage. All control inputs feature 1.8V logic-level compatible thresholds, ensuring TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when the device operates within the valid supply voltage range. Integrated pull-down resistors on the logic pins eliminate external components, reducing system size and cost.
