Introduction
The ADS85x8 features eight low-power 12-bit, 14-bit, or 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) based on successive approximation registers (SAR), with each ADC equipped with true bipolar inputs. These channels are grouped into four pairs and can simultaneously acquire signals at rates of up to 650 kSPS. These devices allow for the selection of parallel or serial interfaces and support daisy-chain connection. The programmable reference enables the handling of analog input signals with amplitudes up to ±12 V. The ADS85x8 series is available in 64-pin very thin quad flat no-lead (VQFN) and low-profile quad flat (LQFP) packages and supports an automatic sleep mode to minimize power consumption. The entire series is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
