The TPS25921 is a compact and multi-functional fuse with a full set of protection functions. It has a wide operating voltage range and can control a variety of common direct current (DC) buses. The current-limiting accuracy at room temperature reaches ±2%. This excellent accuracy makes the TPS25921 an ideal choice for a variety of system protection applications. Moreover, it also has a variety of programmable functions such as overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and undervoltage protection, which can protect the load, power supply, and device. The threshold accuracy under undervoltage and overvoltage conditions is 3%, ensuring strict control of the bus voltage without the need for a monitoring circuit. In addition, a fault flag output (FLT) is provided for system status monitoring and downstream load control. For hot-swappable circuit boards, the TPS25921 provides inrush current control and a programmable output ramp rate. To maximize design flexibility, the output ramp rate can be programmed using a capacitor at the soft-start (SS) pin.
