Introduction
The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R are multichannel, simultaneously sampling, 24-bit Δ-Σ ADCs with built-in PGA, internal reference, and onboard oscillator. The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R incorporate all the features typically required for portable, low-power medical ECG, sports, and fitness applications. With high integration and exceptional performance, the ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R enable scalable medical instrumentation systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost. The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R feature a flexible input multiplexer per channel that can be independently connected to internally generated signals for test, temperature measurement, and continuous lead-off detection. In addition, any configuration of input channels can be selected to generate the right leg drive (RLD) output signal. The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R operate at data rates up to 8kSPS. Continuous lead-off detection can be performed internally via on-chip excitation current sink or source. The ADS1292R version includes a fully integrated respiration impedance measurement function. These devices are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
