Introduction
The TS3A227E is an audio accessory automatic detection and configuration switch used to detect 3-pin or 4-pin audio accessories and configure internal switches for signal transmission. The internal grounded FET of the TS3A227E features an ultra-low RON of 60 mΩ, which can minimize the impact of crosstalk. The grounded FET can also be used to transmit FM signals. Therefore, the ground wire of the accessory can be used as an FM antenna in mobile audio applications. With the internal isolation switch, the TS3A227E can eliminate the click/pop noise that may occur when inserting or removing audio accessories. In addition, the depletion-mode FET in the device can prevent a floating ground when the device is not powered and prevent humming when inserting an accessory into an unpowered system. When no headphones are inserted, the low-power sleep mode can turn off part of the internal circuits to achieve extremely low quiescent current and power consumption. The TS3A227E has an integrated key press detection function and can detect the press and release operations of up to 4 keys. Manual I2C control can control the anti-bounce settings and switch states, enabling the TS3A227E to adapt to application requirements.
