The TPS51518 is a single-phase, D-CAP™/D-CAP2™ synchronous buck controller with 2-bit VID inputs, enabling the selection of up to four independent externally programmable output voltage levels. Complete external programmability of voltage levels, step settings, and voltage slew rates is required at these voltage levels. It is used in GFX applications that require multiple voltage levels. The TPS51518 supports all solid electrolytic capacitors (POS) / specialized polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors (SPCAP) and/or all ceramic multilayer capacitors (MLCC) output capacitor options in applications with remote sensing requirements. Tight DC load regulation can be achieved with an externally programmable integrating capacitor. The TPS51518 provides a complete protection suite, including overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent limit (OCL), 5V under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown. It supports a conversion voltage of up to 28V, and the output voltage can be adjusted in the range of 0.5V to 2V. The TPS51518 comes in a 3mm×3mm, QFN package with a 0.4mm pin pitch and is rated for a temperature range of -10°C to 105°C.
