Introduction
The LP87332A-Q1 is designed to meet the power management requirements of new processors and platforms in automotive camera and radar applications. The device features two step-down DC/DC converters, two LDOs, and two general-purpose digital output signals. The device is controlled via an I2C-compatible serial interface and enable signals.
Auto PWM/PFM (AUTO mode) operation delivers high efficiency across a wide output current range. The LP87332A-Q1 supports remote voltage sensing to compensate for IR drops between the regulator output and the point-of-load (POL), improving output voltage accuracy. In addition, the switching clock can be forced into PWM mode and synchronized to an external clock to minimize interference.
The LP87332A-Q1 also supports programmable startup, shutdown delays, and sequencing control, including GPO signals synchronized to the enable signal. During startup and voltage transitions, the device controls the output slew rate to minimize output voltage overshoot and inrush current.
