Honeywell HMC1501-TR

Honeywell HMC1501 and HMC1512 are miniature surface-mount sensors for linear, angular, or rotational displacement, designed specifically for magnetic saturation field sensing. The HMC1501 contains a single saturation-mode Wheatstone bridge sensing element that produces an output voltage based on the direction of magnetic flux passing through the sensor surface. The HMC1512 contains two co-located saturation-mode Wheatstone bridge elements, providing a wider range of angular displacement measurement. Both sensor types offer cost-effective, space-saving solutions for high-volume OEM designs. HMC15xx sensor applications include position sensing, rotational speed and angle detection, and non-contact precision positioning measurement systems. HMC15xx sensors employ Honeywell's anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) technology, offering advantages over Hall-effect-based magnetic sensors. They can resolve better than one-tenth of a degree or one-tenth of a millimeter, tolerate large variations in magnet-to-sensor air gap, and are insensitive to shock and vibration.
