Introduction
The transient voltage suppressor series M5KP5.0A - M5KP110CA offers a range of standoff voltage options from 5.0 to 110 V, available in unidirectional, bidirectional, RoHS-compliant, and tin-lead solder versions. Multiple advanced screening levels are provided to enhance reliability. The clamping action is virtually instantaneous. As a result, they effectively protect equipment against ESD or EFT per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4 standards, as well as transient disturbances caused by inductive switching and RFI. They also protect equipment against secondary lightning strikes per IEC61000-4-5 at the specified rating levels indicated below.
