Introduction
The OPAx994 family (OPA994 and OPA2994) is a series of high-voltage (32V) rail-to-rail input/output (RRIO) op amps. These devices offer excellent AC performance, including a wide 24MHz unity-gain bandwidth and a high 35V/μs slew rate, while drawing only 1.35mA of quiescent current per channel.
The OPAx994 family is designed to maintain stability across a wide range of capacitive loads. For example, when driving a large 10μF capacitive load with a 1MΩ load resistance, the OPAx994 achieves 50 degrees of phase margin. The OPAx994 employs a compensation architecture that reduces sustained ringing under large capacitive loads. This enables reliable performance and ease of design in systems with large, variable, or unknown capacitive loads.
These devices also offer excellent DC accuracy, including a high 125mA short-circuit output current per channel, low offset voltage (±350µV typical), low offset drift (±2.5µV/°C typical), and a high 125dB CMRR for the primary input pair at high-voltage operation. This makes the OPAx994 a versatile, robust, and high-performance op amp for high-voltage industrial applications.
