Introduction
HEDS-9040 and HEDS-9140 series are three-channel optical incremental encoder modules. When used with a codewheel, these low-cost modules detect rotational position. Each module consists of a lensed LED light source and a detector IC housed in a compact plastic package. With a highly collimated light source and a unique photodetector array, these modules deliver the same high performance as the HEDS-9000/9100 two-channel encoder series.
