The ATS19200 is an optimized Hall effect IC that integrates rare earth magnets and high-temperature ceramic capacitors in a single overmolded package, reducing the need for external EMC protection. The ATS19200 provides a user-friendly solution for true zero-speed digital gear tooth sensing in two-wire applications. A single IC contains a dual-element Hall effect sensor IC and signal processing circuitry that switches in response to differential magnetic signals generated by a rotating ferromagnetic target. The device incorporates a sophisticated compensation circuit to eliminate magnetic and system offsets. Analog signals are digitally tracked to achieve high accuracy in pitch and duty cycle. An advanced calibration algorithm adjusts device gain and offset at power-on to achieve air gap-independent switching points, which significantly improves output accuracy and mitigates the effects of system anomalies such as target vibration and sudden air gap changes. Integrated diagnostic functions detect IC faults that affect output protocol accuracy, providing coverage compatible with ASIL B(D) compliance. Built-in EEPROM scratch memory enables device traceability throughout the IC's entire production process. The ATS19200 is available in a lead-free (Pb) 3-pin back-biased SIP package (suffix SN) with a matte tin-plated lead frame. It provides a user-friendly solution for true zero-speed digital gear tooth sensing in two-wire applications such as automotive or two-wheeler braking systems.
