Introduction
The Qorvo QPF4559 is an integrated front-end module designed for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) systems. Its compact form factor and integrated matching network minimize board layout area in applications. Performance is focused on optimizing the power amplifier to operate at a 5V supply voltage, reducing power consumption while maintaining maximum linear output power and leading throughput. This is achieved through wide bandwidth support across all channels in the UNII1-4 bands (5.1 to 5.9 GHz). On-chip filtering for second and third harmonics is integrated, along with 2.4 GHz rejection for dual-band concurrent operation. A coupler with RF output and a wide-range, constant-slope voltage logarithmic power detector are provided for application feedback. The QPF4559 integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier, a single-pole double-throw switch, and a bypassable LNA in a single device.
