Introduction
The GXTR304 is a high-accuracy, low-power digital temperature sensor with SMBus and I²C interface compatibility. In addition to monitoring the local die temperature, it can simultaneously monitor up to four remote diode-connected junction temperatures. This device is typically used for real-time remote temperature monitoring of complex systems including MCUs, GPUs, and FPGAs. It features series resistance cancellation, programmable ideality factor correction, programmable temperature offset correction, and programmable temperature limits, delivering a reliable high-accuracy, low-power temperature monitoring solution. Both the local channel and four remote channels of the GXTR304 can be independently programmed and controlled. An alert is triggered when the temperature at any monitored location exceeds the corresponding temperature limit, and each channel features programmable temperature limit hysteresis to prevent repeated alerts caused by temperature fluctuations near the threshold. The local and remote channel measurement accuracy typical values are ±0.5°C and ±1°C respectively, both offering a temperature resolution of 0.0078125°C and a measurement range of -55°C to +150°C. The device operates over a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and is available in a 16-pin QFN package measuring 3.00mm × 3.00mm.
