The DS320PR1601 is a 32-channel (16 channels per direction) or x16 (16-channel) low-power, high-performance linear repeater or redriver, designed to support PCIe 5.0, CXL 2.0, UPI 2.0, and other interfaces at data rates up to 32 Gbps. The DS320PR1601 receiver employs a Continuous Time Linear Equalizer (CTLE) to provide programmable high-frequency boost. The equalizer can open input eye diagrams that have been completely closed due to ISI caused by interconnect media such as PCB traces. The CTLE receiver is followed by a linear output driver. The DS320PR1601's linear data path preserves transmit preset signal characteristics. The linear redriver becomes part of a passive channel, which undergoes link training as a whole to achieve optimal transmit and receive equalization settings. Transparent management of this link training protocol enables superior electrical links with the lowest possible latency. The device features low channel-to-channel crosstalk, low additive jitter, and ultra-low return loss, allowing it to function almost as a passive component in the link while still providing equalization capability.
