Wuxi Maxinmicro MX5050L

The MX5050L high-side ideal diode controller works with an external MOSFET to function as an ideal diode rectifier when connected in series with a power supply. This ideal diode controller enables the MOSFET to replace the reverse-blocking diode in the main circuit, thereby reducing power dissipation and voltage drop. The MX5050L controller provides charge pump gate drive for an external N-channel MOSFET and a fast-response comparator, turning off the MOSFET when current reverses. The MX5050L supports supply voltages from 5V to 40V; when the input voltage is between 1V and 4V, VS requires an additional supply of 5V or above. Compared to the MX5050T, the MX5050L features lower forward turn-on threshold and reverse turn-off threshold voltages Vsd(rev) and Vsd(reg), making it easier to drive the external MOSFET into full conduction and achieve faster turn-off.
