Introduction
The Eclypse Z7 is Digilent's latest FPGA/SoC development board, designed for ultra-high-speed and highly modular systems, built around the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 SoC family. Combined with Zmod expansion modules and Digilent's new software architecture, it forms a powerful research and prototyping platform optimized for productivity and accelerated design workflows, making it an ideal choice for instrumentation applications such as software-defined radio, ultrasound, and medical technology. As a carrier board for SYZYGY-compatible Zmod expansion modules, the Eclypse Z7 is designed with high flexibility, eliminating the need to start from scratch and avoiding unnecessary overhead. Users can get started with the Eclypse Z7 immediately, as it supports PetaLinux out of the box. The pre-built Linux image includes a software API for bulk data transfer. Digilent provides fully open and customizable hardware designs, Linux images, and Linux software applications.
