Introduction
The FOD2200 is an optocoupled logic gate combining an AlGaAs LED with an integrated high-gain photodetector. The detector features a three-state output stage with hysteresis on the detector threshold. The three-state output can drive data buses directly without a pull-up resistor. The hysteresis provides differential-mode noise immunity, eliminating the possibility of output signal jitter.
The electrical and switching characteristics of the FOD2200 are guaranteed over a temperature range of 0°C to 85°C and a VCC range of 4.5V to 20V. The low IF and wide VCC range make it compatible with TTL, LSTTL, and CMOS logic, with lower power dissipation compared to other high-speed optocouplers. Maximum propagation delay for logic signal transmission is 300ns. The FOD2200 is suitable for isolating high-speed logic interfaces, buffering input and output lines, and implementing isolated line receivers in high-noise environments.
