Introduction
Applications with only a positive supply voltage typically require an additional stable voltage positioned at the midpoint of the ADC input range to bias bipolar input signals. The REF19xx provides a reference voltage (V_REF) for use with an ADC and a precision voltage (V_BLAS) for biasing bipolar input signals.
The REF19xx features excellent temperature drift (25 ppm/°C maximum) and initial accuracy (0.1%) on both the V_REF and V_BLAS outputs, while maintaining quiescent current below 430 μA. Additionally, the V_REF and V_BLAS outputs track each other to 6 ppm/°C (maximum) over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. All these features improve signal chain accuracy, save board space, and reduce system cost compared to discrete solutions. An ultra-low dropout voltage of only 10 mV allows the device to operate at very low input voltages, making it well suited for battery-powered systems.
The V_REF and V_BLAS voltages share equally impressive specifications, with equally strong current sourcing and sinking capabilities. These devices offer excellent long-term stability and low noise levels, making them ideal for high-precision industrial applications.
