Introduction
The TLVH431 and TLVH432 devices are low-voltage, 3-terminal adjustable voltage references with rated thermal stability over the applicable industrial and commercial temperature ranges. The output voltage can be set to any value between VREF (1.24V) and 18V using two external resistors. These devices have a lower operating voltage (1.24V) than the widely used TL431 and TL1431 shunt regulator references. When used with optocouplers, the TLVH431 and TLVH432 devices are ideal voltage references for isolated feedback circuits in 3V to 3.3V switch-mode power supplies. Their typical output impedance is 0.25Ω. The active output circuit provides very fast turn-on characteristics, so the TLVH431 and TLVH432 devices are well-suited to replace low-voltage Zener diodes in many applications, including on-board regulation and adjustable power supplies.
