Introduction
The LM4041 series of shunt voltage references are versatile and easy to use, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. They can operate without external capacitors and remain stable when working with all capacitive loads. Additionally, these references feature low dynamic impedance, low noise, and low temperature coefficients, ensuring a stable output voltage over a wide range of operating currents and temperatures.
During wafer screening, the LM4041 is trimmed using fuses and Zener breakdown reverse breakdown voltages to offer four output voltage tolerances - ranging from a maximum of 0.1% (Grade A) to a maximum of 1% (Grade D). This allows designers to flexibly select a cost-effective product for their applications.
The LM4041 is available in either a fixed-voltage version (with a nominal value of 1.225V) or an adjustable-voltage version (which requires an external resistor divider to set the output to any value between 1.225V and 10V).
The LM4041 comes in space-saving SC-70 and SOT-23-3 packages, with a minimum current of 45μA (typical). Therefore, it is an ideal choice for portable applications. For through-hole packaging, the TO-92 package is also available.
The LM4041xI is rated for an operating ambient temperature range of –40°C to 85°C. The LM4041xQ is rated for an operating ambient temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.
