The SiT8002 oscillator family consists of the world's smallest high-performance programmable oscillators. The SiT8002 is designed for clock generation in consumer, portable, industrial, automotive, and computing applications. The oscillator family is housed in standard low-cost plastic QFN IC packages, with dimensions matching those of common quartz SMT products. MEMS resonators are 1000 times smaller than quartz resonators and are manufactured in high-volume CMOS fabs rather than small custom manufacturing facilities. Due to their smaller size, higher volume, and simpler manufacturing process, MEMS oscillators are inherently more reliable, deliver more consistent performance, and are always in stock. By eliminating the quartz crystal, the SiT8002 offers improved resistance to environmental factors such as vibration, shock, strain, and humidity.
