Introduction
The MTCH1060 Evaluation Kit is a standalone hardware platform for evaluating the MTCH1060 capacitive touch controller, the largest device in the MTCH10XX turnkey touch controller family. These devices are controlled exclusively via GPIO, enabling robust (water- and noise-resistant) touch functionality. The MTCH10XX series supports up to six capacitive sensors with Driven Shield+ capability, ranging from the MTCH1010 (one sensor channel) to the MTCH1030 (up to three) and the MTCH1060 (up to six). The MTCH1060 Evaluation Kit integrates six touch sensor electrodes with Driven Shield+ for evaluating the MTCH1060's robust noise immunity and moisture resistance. In addition, the evaluation kit provides an option to connect external touch electrodes, enabling users to prototype applications using the MTCH1060 touch controller. Users can also evaluate the performance of their touch control applications under different configurations by enabling and/or modifying various parameters such as sensitivity, response time (measurement cycle), oversampling, easy tuning, single-button mode, sensor disable, visual touch tuning, and more.
Features
- Six touch buttons with ring-drive shielding
- Touch status LED per sensor channel
- Multiple configuration options:
- Configure oversampling and measurement period
- Configure sensitivity
- Disable onboard sensors
- Connect external sensor electrodes for evaluation and prototyping
- Enable or disable single-button mode
- Enable or disable easy tuning
- Enable or disable tuning data
- Stream touch tuning data
- Selectable VCC of 3.3V or 5V from USB power input
Applications
- Touch control application prototyping
- Evaluating touch controller performance
