Introduction
AD5426/AD5432/AD5443 are CMOS 8/10/12-bit current-output DACs. These devices operate from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, making them suitable for battery-powered and many other applications. These DACs feature a double-buffered, 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and most DSP interface standards. When multiple packages are used, the DACs can be daisy-chained via the serial data output pin (SDO). The data readback feature allows users to read the contents of the DAC register through the SDO pin. At power-up, the internal shift register and latches are filled with zeros, and the DAC output is at zero scale. These devices are fabricated using a CMOS submicron process, offering excellent four-quadrant multiplication performance with a large-signal multiplication bandwidth of 10 MHz. The full-scale output current is determined by the externally applied reference input voltage V_REF. When used with an external current-to-voltage precision amplifier, the integrated feedback resistor R_FB provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output. The AD5426/AD5432/AD5443 DACs are available in a compact 10-lead MSOP package.
