Introduction
The LM2735 device is an easy-to-use, space-efficient 2.1A low-side switch regulator, ideal for boost and SEPIC DC/DC regulation. The device provides all active functions to deliver local DC/DC conversion with fast transient response and precise regulation in minimum PCB area. The switching frequency is internally set to 520kHz or 1.6MHz, allowing the use of very small surface-mount inductors and chip capacitors while delivering up to 90% efficiency. Current-mode control and internal compensation provide easy-to-use, minimum component count, high-performance regulation across a wide range of operating conditions. External shutdown with 80nA ultra-low standby current makes it ideal for portable solutions. Space-saving miniature SOT-23, WSON, and MSOP-PowerPAD packages are available. Additional features include internal soft-start, inrush current limiting circuitry, pulse-by-pulse current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
