Introduction
TPS3702 is an integrated overvoltage and undervoltage window detector in a compact SOT-6 package. This high-accuracy voltage monitor is well-suited for systems with tight power supply tolerances operating from low-voltage rails. The device offers two threshold hysteresis options of 0.55% and 1.0% to prevent false reset signals when the monitored supply voltage is within its nominal operating range. Built-in glitch suppression and noise filtering further eliminate false resets caused by spurious signals.
The TPS3702 requires no external resistors to set the overvoltage and undervoltage reset thresholds, improving overall accuracy, reducing solution size, and lowering solution cost. Two available threshold voltages per device are selectable via the SET pin. Separate SENSE input and VDD pins address redundancy requirements in safety-critical and high-reliability systems. The device also provides independent reset outputs for the OV and UV pins; the UV and OV pins can be connected together in an open-drain configuration.
The device features a low typical quiescent current of 7μA and is tested for operation over the industrial temperature range (−40°C to 125°C).
