Sensata DRML1

The DRML1 load monitoring module is designed to plug into the top of any Nova22 solid-state relay with contactor configuration (PM22 and DR22 series, V or W option) to monitor up to 8 heating elements with similar current values, with a total current range of 1.2 A to 50 A. The DRML1 module continuously measures the load current and compares it to a preset nominal value (taught value). This nominal value can be stored during module installation by pressing the front "Teach" button or using the external "Teach" input. When the module detects that the current falls below 12.5% of the nominal value — indicating a single load failure — the alarm output is activated. The module can also detect other fault conditions such as: overcurrent (current exceeding the nominal value by 12.5%), blown fuse (open-circuit load), damaged SSR (short circuit) or interruption, and can also detect half-wave operation. The maximum current value (20 A or 50 A) and adjustable alarm response delay (0.1 s, 1 s, or 5 s) are selectable via the front parameter selection switch. The alarm delay prevents false fault messages caused by voltage drops. Faults are indicated by a multicolor LED that signals power on, teach function active (blue), input signal on (green), and alarm condition active (red). The DRML1 module is well suited for monitoring the normal operation of various equipment such as injection molding machines, plastic extruders, and thermoforming machines.
