Introduction
CA‐IS376x is a high-performance six-channel digital isolator with precise timing characteristics and low power dissipation. When isolating CMOS digital I/O, the CA‐IS376x provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions. All device versions feature Schmitt-trigger inputs for high noise immunity.
The logic input and output buffers of each isolation channel are isolated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulating barrier. The CA‐IS3760 has all six channels in the same direction; the CA‐IS3761 has five forward and one reverse channel; the CA‐IS3762 has four forward and two reverse channels; the CA‐IS3763 has three forward and three reverse channels. All devices offer a failsafe mode option. If the input-side power supply fails or the signal is lost, devices with the suffix L default to a low output, while devices with the suffix H default to a high output.
The CA‐IS376x provides high isolation capability, helping to prevent noise and surges on data buses or other circuits from reaching the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability ensures correct transmission of digital signals. The CA‐IS376x is available in a 16-pin SSOP16 package. All products are rated at 3.75kV_RMS isolation.
