Introduction
SS54123 G3 is a high-reliability AC-type residual current device (RCD) dedicated IC featuring low power consumption and excellent high-frequency leakage current suppression, with port compatibility with the M54123L chip. It is used to detect leakage signals on the live and neutral lines. When a leakage signal occurs, the zero-current transformer (ZCT) detects the electrical signal; the leakage signal is amplified by a differential amplifier and processed through precision rectification to obtain complete positive and negative half-wave waveforms. When the RMS value of the leakage current exceeds the specified rated current (RMS) threshold, the chip's output pin rapidly drives a high-level signal to trigger an external thyristor, disconnecting the grid from the user end to achieve leakage protection. When the circuit breaker fails to trip normally, the output drive signal remains high, ensuring stable and reliable triggering of the thyristor.
This IC reliably passes the following qualification tests specified in GB14048: 10V/m EMI, 5KHz/100KHz EFT burst, lightning surge, voltage dip, and power-frequency magnetic field tests.
