The IPM L1/S1 series is designed for general-purpose inverters, such as AC220V and AC440V lines, as well as servo motor control on AC440V lines. Power module (IPM) selection should be based on voltage, current, power dissipation under operating conditions, and thermal calculations. IPMs are available in various package types, including mini, small (pin-type), and medium packages for the L1 series, as well as S1 series packages. When installing power modules, attention must be paid to mounting capacitors to protect the IPM from voltage damage, and during IPM installation onto heatsinks, care should be taken to ensure even mounting to prevent cracking of the module's ceramic isolation layer.
