Introduction
Capacitive sensing is a non-contact sensing technology with low power consumption and high resolution, suitable for applications such as proximity detection and gesture recognition. Sensors in a capacitive sensing system can be made from any metal or conductor, enabling highly flexible system design. The primary limitation on sensitivity in capacitive sensing applications is the noise susceptibility of the sensor. The FDC2x1x-Q1 employs a resonance-based sensing architecture that maintains consistent performance even in fluorescent environments. The FDC2x1x-Q1 is a multichannel family of high-resolution, high-speed capacitance-to-digital converters designed for implementing capacitive sensing solutions. This device family features an innovative narrowband-based architecture that provides high noise rejection while delivering high resolution at high speeds. The family supports a wide excitation frequency range, offering flexibility for system design.
