LITEON HSDL-3020-021

The HSDL-3020 is a next-generation thin, high-speed enhanced infrared (IR) transceiver module capable of: (1) interfacing between logic signals and IR signals for wireless, serial, half-duplex infrared data links; (2) IR remote control transmission at the optimum 940 nm wavelength for universal remote control applications. The HSDL-3020 features an enhanced triple-lens optical package to optimize IrDA and remote control performance. The module is fully compliant with IrDA Physical Layer Specification version 1.4, supports low-power operation from 9.6 kbit/s to 4.0 Mbit/s (FIR), and meets IEC825 Class 1 eye safety standards. The HSDL-3020 can be completely shut down for ultra-low power consumption. In shutdown mode, the PIN diode is inactive, generating minimal photocurrent even under very bright ambient light conditions. It is also designed to interface with I/O logic circuits as low as 1.5 V. These features make it ideal for battery-powered mobile devices requiring low power consumption, such as PDAs and mobile phones.
