Qorvo PAC5285-T

The Qorvo PAC5285 is a 40V/20W integrated FET BLDC integrated motor controller and driver. To enable compact, low-power BLDC motor applications, the device integrates a flash-programmable MCU, power management, signal conditioning, and a three-phase BLDC inverter into a single product. The PAC5285 contains an Arm Cortex-M0 with 32KB flash and 8KB SRAM, with access to a variety of analog and digital peripherals for BLDC motor control and drive. The device features a single 40V power supply input, making it ideal for 12V battery-powered applications. A charge pump DC/DC converts the supply input to IC and inverter power, with regulators for 5V system power, core, and analog supplies. The device also integrates a differential amplifier for motor current sensing to enable overcurrent protection and motor control. The inverter can shut down during overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overtemperature events, and a power monitor allows the ADC to internally sample all power rails. The device includes six 40V/300mΩ MOSFETs to support three-phase BLDC motor applications. The PAC5285 is available in a 6×6mm, 40-pin QFN package, suitable for compact, low-power BLDC motors.
