Introduction
CY7C243 and CY7C244 are high-performance 4K x 8 CMOS EPROMs. They are available in 300-mil and 600-mil wide packages, respectively. Reprogrammable packages include an erase window that allows erasure and reprogramming upon exposure to ultraviolet light. The memory cells utilize proven EPROM floating-gate technology with a byte-wide intelligent programming algorithm. These devices serve as direct replacements for bipolar devices, offering the advantages of low power consumption and high programming yield. EPROM cells require only 12.5V for the high voltage supply, and the low current demand supports gang programming. Each memory cell is programmed, erased, and repeatedly tested prior to packaging, ensuring 100% testability. Each EPROM is AC performance tested to guarantee that the product meets DC and AC specification limits after user programming. Read operation is achieved by asserting CS1 active low and CS2 active high. The contents of the memory cell addressed by the address lines will appear on the output lines.
