Introduction
The ADS131E0x is a family of multichannel, simultaneously-sampling, 24-bit Δ-Σ ADCs with built-in PGA, internal reference, and onboard oscillator. With wide dynamic range, scalable data rates, and integrated fault detection monitors, the ADS131E0x is well-suited for industrial power monitoring and protection, as well as test and measurement applications. The true high-impedance inputs allow the ADS131E0x to connect directly to resistor divider networks or voltage transformers for line voltage measurement, or to current transformers or Rogowski coils for current measurement. Combining high integration with excellent performance, the ADS131E0x family enables scalable industrial power systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost.
The ADS131E0x features a flexible input multiplexer per channel, independently connectable to internally generated signals for testing, temperature sensing, and fault detection. Fault detection can be performed internally using integrated comparators with DAC-controlled threshold levels. The ADS131E0x operates at data rates up to 64kSPS.
These complete AFE solutions are housed in a TQFP-64 package and are rated for an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
