The 16-bit DAC80502, 14-bit DAC70502, and 12-bit DAC60502 (DACx0502) digital-to-analog converters (DACs) are all high-precision, low-power devices with voltage outputs. The linearity of the DACx0502 is less than 1 LSB. With high precision and a miniature package, the DACx0502 is well-suited for the following applications: gain and offset voltage calibration, current or voltage setpoint setting, and power supply control. These devices include a 2.5V, 5ppm/°C internal reference, which can provide a full-scale output voltage range of 1.25V, 2.5V, or 5V. The DACx0502 features a power-on reset circuit to ensure that the DAC output powers on at zero or mid-level depending on the state of the RSTSEL pin and remains at that level until a valid code is written to the device. The digital interface of the DACx0502 can be configured as either SPI or I2C mode via the SPI2C pin. In SPI mode, the DACx0502 uses a common 3-wire serial interface that operates at a clock frequency of up to 50MHz. In I2C mode, the DACx0502 supports standard (100kbps), fast (400kbps), and fast+ (1.0Mbps) operating modes.
