Integrated driver for direct driving of sensor and receiver stages, with analog output for ultrasonic applications. An analog front-end with an 86dB input dynamic range. A first-stage low-noise amplifier with adjustable gains of 10, 12.5, 15, and 20V/V. A configurable band-pass filter from 40KHz to 500KHz, and a wideband logarithmic amplifier. Supported sensor frequencies (controlled by an external clock) range from 40KHz to 1MHz. Pre-driver mode: 40KHz to 440KHz. Suitable for low-power applications, with a standby mode current of 1.7mA (typical) and a sleep mode current of 220μA (typical). Configurable soft-start drive stage: Direct drive for sensor excitation using an internal H-bridge, a pre-driver configuration for driving external field-effect transistors (FETs) using the internal H-bridge for higher current drive, and a configurable burst mode implemented using the IO1 and IO2 pins. Outputs: A voltage output of the demodulated echo envelope on VOUT, an input signal zero-crossing comparator output on the OUT3 pin, and a programmable VOUT threshold crossing on the OUT4 pin. A serial peripheral interface (SPI) that can be configured via a microcontroller (MCU).
