TI THVD2410DR

The THVD2410 and THVD2450 are ±70V fault-protected, half-duplex, RS-422/RS-485 transceivers powered by a single 3V to 5.5V supply. They protect the bus interface pins from overvoltage conditions in all operating modes, ensuring stable and reliable communication in harsh industrial environments. These devices feature integrated IEC ESD protection, eliminating the need for external system-level protection components. The extended ±25V input common-mode range ensures stable and reliable data communication over longer cable runs and/or in the presence of large ground-loop voltages. The enhanced 250mV receiver hysteresis provides high noise immunity. Additionally, the receiver fail-safe feature ensures a logic-high output when both inputs are open or shorted. The THVD24x0 devices are available in small VSSOP and VSON packages, making them suitable for space-constrained applications. These devices are rated for operation from –40°C to 125°C in free air. They meet or exceed the requirements of the TIA/EIA-485A and TIA/EIA-422B standards, offer functional safety, and provide documentation to assist in the design of functional safety systems. With a 3V to 5.5V supply voltage, a differential output greater than 2.1V, and compatibility with PROFIBUS at 5V.
