The A3144E unipolar Hall-effect switch is designed using a Bipolar semiconductor process, incorporating a Hall voltage generator, a voltage regulator capable of operating at supply voltages from 3.8V to 40V, reverse voltage protection, a temperature compensation circuit, a small-signal amplifier, a Schmitt trigger, and an open-collector output. The sensor is designed for south-pole response. When the magnetic flux density (B) exceeds the operate point Bop, the output goes low and remains unchanged until the magnetic flux (B) falls below the release point Brp, at which point the output goes high. The A3144E is available in multiple packages, including TO92S and SOT23-3L, all of which are RoHS compliant.
