The surface-mount T11 design is engineered for direct attachment to equipment, utilizing conduction (the fastest method of heat transfer) for temperature measurement and reliable protection. The device employs a bimetallic thermosensitive disc for rapid make-or-break action of switching contacts. The bimetallic disc is thermally and electrically isolated from the power circuit, eliminating self-heating effects. Only the temperature of the controlled device or its immediate environment causes switching action. Due to the characteristics of the bimetallic disc, switching operation is swift and reliable. Contact chatter, false cycling, and arcing are virtually eliminated. The thermostat is housed in a compact, rugged, tamper-resistant enclosure for quick and easy installation in controlled equipment. Options include bare disc, single-action, and SPDT configurations. Custom manufacturing options are also available, including bracket, conduit and fitting mounting, lead termination, overmolding, and epoxy sealing.
