Broadcom AFBR-1644Z

The AFBR-16xxZ transmitter uses a 650 nm LED light source with integrated optics and driver IC for efficient coupling into 1 mm POF. The AFBR-26x4Z/25x9Z receiver consists of an IC with an integrated photodiode that produces logic-compatible outputs. The transmitter input and receiver output are compatible with the TTL logic family. The transceiver pair can transmit any signal type from DC to 50 MBd over 1 mm POF up to 50 m; over 200 μm plastic-clad silica (PCS) fiber, the range is up to 200 m at 10 MBd and up to 120 m at 50 MBd. The transmitter is a 3-pin device and the receiver is a 4-pin device, both housed in a Universal Link package. Universal Link components can be interlocked (N components combined) to minimize space and provide dual connections via duplex connectors.
