Honeywell's temperature probes are available in a variety of housing materials, styles, terminations, and R-T curve types, suitable for fluid, surface, and air/gas temperature sensing. The packaged temperature probe assemblies utilize NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor or RTD technology, capable of operating across a wide range of environmental conditions. Platinum-based RTDs are laser-trimmed for stability and fast linear output, making them suitable for motor overload and semiconductor protection, thermal management and temperature compensation of electronic components, and HVAC equipment. Discrete thermistors change resistance in response to temperature variations.

The R300 series can be used for fluid or air temperature sensing in heavy-duty vehicle engine exhaust gas recirculation systems, engine ambient environments, or HVAC, or in refrigeration compressor equipment. The 500 series is suitable for a wide range of potential industrial and transportation applications.
