By attaching additional PCB thickening layers to the encoder, the AEDR-8000 encoder series can easily address height requirements across various applications. Furthermore, this capability is enhanced by offering different height profile options. The AEDR-8000 encoder series can now serve as a direct replacement for the HEDR-8000 encoder series. This migration is always straightforward due to the perfect match in height profiles and identical package dimensions between the two encoder series. The AEDR-8000 encoder series employs reflective technology for rotary and linear motion control. The encoder integrates an LED light source and photodetector circuit within a single package. In addition to its key features, the AEDR-8000 encoder series provides two-channel quadrature digital outputs (TTL-compatible), with signals that can interface directly with most signal processing circuits. This helps reduce design time for applications.
