The VK204-25 is an intelligent alphanumeric LCD designed to reduce development time by providing an instant solution for any project. In addition to the RS232, TTL, and I²C protocols available in standard models, USB and RS422 communication models enable the VK204-25 to connect to a wide variety of host controllers. Serial protocol communication speeds of up to 115.2kbps and I²C communication speeds of up to 100kbps ensure fast data display. A simple command structure allows easy software control of settings such as backlight brightness, screen contrast, and baud rate. Onboard memory supports up to 40 custom characters, which can be stored on the device for use in startup screens, bar graphs, or large number displays. Users can input via a 5×5 matrix keypad, and six general-purpose outputs provide simple switchable 5V power. Additionally, a Dallas 1-Wire interface offers a convenient communication interface for up to 32 devices. This versatile VK204-25 is available in multiple color, voltage, and temperature options, making it suitable for virtually any application.
