Broadcom HFBR-5961ALZ

Avago's HFBR-5961xxZ transceiver provides system designers with a product for implementing a range of solutions for multimode fiber Fast Ethernet and SONET OC-3 (SDH STM-1) physical layers for ATM and other services. The transceiver is offered in an industry-standard 2×5 DIP package with an LC fiber connector interface and external connector shielding. The transmitter section uses a 1300 nm InGaAsP LED driven by a custom silicon IC that converts differential PECL logic signals into analog LED drive current. The receiver section employs an InGaAs PIN photodiode coupled with a custom silicon transimpedance preamplifier IC, connected to a custom quantizer IC that provides final pulse shaping and signal detection for logic output.
