LightWare LiDAR SF000/B

SF000 is an ultra-compact and lightweight laser rangefinder designed for applications where size and weight are critical constraints. It uses a time-of-flight system to measure distance and velocity very quickly and accurately, with measurement accuracy unaffected by surface color, texture, or the angle of incidence of the laser beam. The rangefinder is virtually immune to background light, wind, and noise, making it an ideal sensor for detecting unexpected obstacles. It can perform up to 388 measurements per second, and its configurable features along with multiple hardware interfaces make it easy to integrate with different types of controllers. It is powered by a 5V DC regulated supply and includes two communication interfaces: a serial port with configurable baud rate (3.3V logic level, 5V tolerant) for connection to a host controller; and an I2C serial bus with configurable address (3.3V logic level, 3.3k pull-up resistors, 5V tolerant), which serves as an alternative to the serial port when multiple devices are connected on a common bus. The LightWare API library provides application software development support. The SF000 laser is Class 1M and is eye-safe.
