Introduction
The H6MM inclinometer delivers high-precision dual-axis tilt sensing in a robust, environmentally sealed housing. The device employs gravity-referenced MEMS sensing elements with integrated temperature compensation across the full industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The H6MM provides two continuous, fully configurable analog outputs. These outputs can be individually configured for current, voltage, or open-collector switch mode. Voltage output can be set to any value between 0V and 10V, and current output can be set to any value between 0mA and 24mA — corresponding to any angular range between ±180°. Both current and voltage outputs are directly linear with respect to the input angle.
The open-collector switch output is referenced to signal common and can be configured to trigger above, below, between, or outside any angular threshold or window. The transistor output can be used directly or to drive an external relay (drive capability up to 250mA).
The H6MM includes a polled half-duplex (2-wire) RS-485 digital interface for angle measurement and configuration. The H6MM-CANOPEN incorporates CAN bus hardware, implementing the CANopen protocol per CiA DS-301 and DSP-410.
All analog output parameters are configurable via the RS-485 interface using the Flex series development kit and software to meet your specifications, enabling end users to modify the sensor directly from a PC as needed — providing maximum flexibility for R&D and OEM production lines. Horizontal and vertical mounting orientations are also user-configurable.
The H6MM is available as an OEM integrated device or as a standalone sensor for test and measurement, suited for applications requiring high accuracy and long-term stability in noisy environments with wide temperature variations. Applicable to most commercial and industrial applications.
